EVA CUSMIR has graduated the National Academy of Music of Bucharest (Romania) in 1988 – class of piano, piano accompaniament, and chamber music.

Immediately after having publicly defended her diploma work, entitled, she was invited at the National Opera of Cluj (Romania) as chief accompanist ; four years later, she occupied the same musical position at the National Opera of Bucharest.

Along all these years, she was given the opoportunity to play the the most prestigious operas of the international repertory:
Monteverdi , Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo, Gounod, Bizet, etc.

At the same time, she continued her career as a soloist piano player, being frequently invited by all philharmonic orchestras of Romania , to interpret the great concertos of Mozart, Beethoven, WeberMendelssohn, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich.

As to the chamber music, Eva Cusmir played in various (duo, trio,quatuor ) musical formations, both in Romania and abroad (mainly France ), accompanying reputed chamber music players of today.


Her repertory also includes the great voice part – piano cycles of Schubert , Schumann, Wolf, Moussorsgky, Tchaykovsky, once again accompanying famous Romanian singers.

Many of her concertos were broadcasted ; equally, the Romanian television dedicated her a special programme, on the occasion of Eva’s recital with the great piano player Lori Wallfisch.

In the year 2007, she was invited to join the “Delta ensemble” modern music assembly.

Since june 2008, Eva Cusmir lives in France , in Bordeaux, where her musical career has considerably advanced.
Thus, in the university year 2008-2009, she was invited to accompany the dance classes at the Conservatoire of Bordeaux.

Starting with October 2009, Eva Cusmir accompanies the “Polyphonia” chorus, conducted by Eliane Lavail, together with whom she interpreted, several times, Carmina Burana (2 pianos version) in Bordeaux and Tunis .


Also in October 2009, she was invited by the "Aquitaine symphonic orchestra", to play Beethoven (third concert for piano), with Bruno Ricaud as a conductor.

In November 2009 E was invited to play the same concert, in the opening evening of the "Symphonic Orchestra of Pessac", conducted by Jean-Marie Juan.
